It's between you and me GOOSE! You're gonna die..
I have a cousin who likes to post moded pictures of her friends and family on Facebook for their birthdays. Damn it. I was not spared.
Oh Fantastic. He was actually a pet for a minute, but he pooped too much. I named him Fantastic in reference to Charlotte's web. He's was a mean ass bootch, but apparently I was the only one who was able to hug him.
When the farmer dudes picked him up. My parents told me that he was going to back to his family, because they missed him. Well he probably ended up on somebody's plate instead.

Why I love being a Hag
Fag Hag that is, but I hate the word that comes before hag in this title. So we'll just say Hag.
At 16 in the passenger side of my best friend's car. I asked a couple of questions that opened the flood gates. Why don't you have any guy friends? You're best friend is a girl, but you never had the hots for her?
"Christina I have to tell you something."
OMG here it comes. He's going to tell me he likes me. Damn it Christina you just went through this last week with your other dude friend, and you can't afford to lose another one. Say something before he does..... like right.......
"I'm gay."
oh.
A hag was born. Who she was from then on completely changed. Her crew would would be compiled of pretty men instead of bitchy backstabbing girls. She found a dope species of people that she would grow old with, and have been down for her since she was sixteen. Yes she is always the only girl in a group of guys, but damn it she would always be the prettiest girl in the crew! She was born in a world of uncertainty, but led into a life that she loves. She would never turn back. Let me tell you why.
- You always have a date. Always.
- Candid and Non judgemental conversations. No sex question is off limits.
- You eat at the best restaurants ever. No joke.
- Even on my fattest day I can go to the Castro and someone will tell me I'm pretty.
- If you've been good to your gays your drinks will always be free.
- Someone will always dance with you and will even catch you when you drunk fall...... five times.
- You get the best hugs on earth. Big and sincere.
- If I met a gay ten years ago he remembers me because of the way I danced.
- They remember that you made out with someone in a gay bar -_- and never fail to mention it when they see you. Even 8 years after it happened. awesome!
- It is the best friendship ever. The most unguarded and honest thing I've ever had.

Geminis Rule the School!

The Blues have been ever present, but on the flipside my birthday month is around the corner. Buwahahahahah. "Who is the fairest of them all!!!"
My girl Aivy is the first Bootch to set the madness in motion. We ate at the Wood Tavern in North Oakland.
I love it when I can eat like a Boigie Bootch and nom nom on things like pork belly, Pate, Cheese, Cured meets, and Rigatoni Bolagnese.
Aivy has a great set of friends who tell dirty jokes and laugh hysterically at everything. It was good to see people have fun. It was great to feel myself have fun and not be a moper with my cat. Socializing with humans is fun!
And these folks are great humans. Definitely.
Our boy Christian who is one of Aivy's best friends had an uncle that works as a chef and he hooked us up with some cheese and meats!
Free gourmet is A-Okay!
I got to hit up Sklark in the Mission for the Bakla launch party. Of course there were many baklas and familiar faces. It was great to end the night with folks that I love. I have to keep myself positive. I have to Love my time. I cannot battle with present. I have to let go.
And...... don't you love my pictures? It's part of the snazzy apps on my new Iphone that I LOOOOOOVE! I've waited all year for this upgrade to happen and I want to marry my iphone and make smart babies with it.

Transitions
I got to take a great mini trip to Monterey this weekend. I am fortunate to still have friends that I've known since I was five. That is right not five years ago, but five years old. My sistergirl Katrina graduated from college, and allowed yours truly to sleep on their comfy couch facing a gorgeous ocean view.
Me, Katrina, Amy, and Missy; we definitely fit that term sisters from another mister. There was a ten year gap where we didn't speak, but in essence I'm not sure if that was necessarily a bad thing.
Are long catch up talks always provide a lot of perspective. The four of us had our own individual journey. They do not see me enough to take my reaction for granted. There are people you see everyday and their individual struggles seem like a collective effort.
Folks who don't see you for years at a time will not call you out on your bullshit. Words are chosen wisely when we don't know when we will see each other again.
I shared some of the most pivotal moments of my childhood with these women. I am forever grateful for the lessons that they have given me about life.
With plenty of wine and cheese to go around I was a drinky fat fat. Life is good. Youth is good.

Bakla show at the Thick House in SF! Opening June 6th

Right now I feel my feet back on the earth. My family and my art have managed to keep me grounded. No big declarations today, just wake up, walk out the door, and see what happens from there. I have completely surrendered my cards. I have no need to see what is ahead of me right now. Keep it moving.I've just started choreographing some work for the Bakla show. For those who do not know what bakla means, it essentially means gay in Tagalog. It's going to be great theatre, comprised of acting and movement, while highlighting LGBT issues in the Filipino community.
Who knew that butch chicks were such dance fans, who throw terms like barrel jumps and pirouettes! :)

I'm currently working on a piece called Malakas and Maganda based on the mythic story about the creation of the Phillippines. I've performed this story before, but I've never done it through dance.
For that particular piece I sort of just free styled some movements, until someone would tell me when they saw something they liked. I think for the next month I just need to watch a lot of dance so I can continue to gain ideas and not burn out in doing the same "Christina moves" that I've been doing for a million years.
The second piece that I worked on yesterday is about a transgendered sex worker. The song is called "Images" by Nina Simone. Truth be told, and this is an embarassing confession. I cannot name one Nina Simone song >_< . That's right. Not one. Just zero.
"Images" is so fucking haunting. It's like an angel singing to me while I walk the plank.
Oh Nina. Why am I so late?
