Rules of the Drunk Clubbing Pictures

Everyone gets caught with a moded drunk clubbing picture. You got a drink in your hand. You're sweaty. You think you look cute, but you HELLA don't.

Take a look at this beauty. Exhibit A:
Photobucket
Glossy Eyes. Moded. Sweat. Moded. Pseudo "Wassup wit it Pose." Moded. Non-Flattering Angle. MODED. At this very moment I am having the time of my life, but what I did not consider is..... how will my drunk club picture look? How will this piece of art be perceived by the wide audience on this dude's picture website. It's a harsh world out there.

Ah. So I learned. Take a look at Exhibit B:

Tip one. Keep eyes OPEN. No matter how drunk you are keep your eyes open. Show your good side, wipe your sweat, and angle to your good and flattering side. Here's a two dollar tip, if you have a megawat smile. Use it. It hides drunk better than not showing your full glass of rum and coke in your picture.

It takes a rock to make a gem. Top Model challenge, how to not look moded in a drunk in the club picture. This should totally be a Top Model Challenge. Tyra don't know about this shiet.

Student Fashion Project

I need to write this idea down before I forget it.

The students here either pajama couture or super fab. Fitted and color coordinated, I find myself complimenting a student on their outfit at least three times a day.

Idea fashion photo project that turns into a book. Students are given a disposable camera to take fashion shots around their neighborhood or around the street. Put on their best outfit for the day. Do a photoshoot. Make a book.

Need energy and motivation to make this happen.

Tabi Tabi Sore

Last night's show was extra awesome sauce. I found myself milking extra drama into my dancing, but it was good just to express myself in that way once again. I found myself closed off and a bit distant. The show took a huge toll on my body physically and I found it hard to keep my spirits friendly and patient. I hope that my friends understand. My mind was super cluttered. I got emotional trying to absorb the whole experience, and I found myself in disbelief saying "Wow this is really happening."

My heart broke a million times before, but it didn't make that moment any easier. Awkward and tragic. I close my eyes. I move on.

Tabi Tabi. fuck. i'm so fucking sore...........

So back to the show. The art for the Tabi Tabi Po Exhibition was super dope. Here is a link to the exhibition site that explains more.

Tabi Tabi Po

Photobucket

I haven't performed with Bindlestiff in about two years. Tonight my shadow will be depicting Filipino mysticism, and I'm really excited about it. I've been out of the scene for a minute, but it feels good to be working with familiar people. We've been working with each other for so long, we have a dynamic that feels like we finish each others' sentences. If there were any collective of artists that I trust near and dear to my heart, it's these people.

I can't wait to perform. It's been an itch that I've ignored for a really long time. I hope that this experience will lead to more. The dark ages are over. I'm ready.

Below is a video of some of the work we've done to prepare for tonight's show. It looks super silly behind the screen, but it works from the audience perspective.
